Largest Privately Financed Industrial Press in North America
When Weber Metals, Inc. decided to invest nearly $200 million in the largest titanium and aluminum industrial press in North America and Europe, the company turned to Grant Farm to manage its effort to gain the largest sales and use tax exemption from the California State Treasurer’s Office in more than 3 years, saving the company nearly $16 million. The new press will fabricate components for the US Space Shuttle and the Boeing Dreamliner that reduce fuel usage and greatly increase efficiency, while supporting 50 jobs in this Disadvantaged Area Community.
American Fuel Cell Bus Enhancement Manufacturing
Grant Farm managed this successful $1.4-million submission by SunLine Transit Agency, Ballard Power Systems, and BAE Systems to continue demonstration of the American Fuel Cell Bus and the Olympic Fuel Cell Bus at SunLine, helping bus manufacturers develop better and more robust fuel cell systems.
Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Facility in Milpitas, California
Efficient Drivetrains, Inc. (EDI) dramatically expanded its advanced vehicle technology manufacturing operations in California with its new EDI Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Facility, which manufactures drive- and power-train components for on-road and off-road light-, medium-, and heavy-duty alternative fuel vehicles. Grant Farm managed EDI’s successful $3.0 million California Energy Commission submission to purchase and install manufacturing and fabrication equipment, as well as the company’s successful CAEATFA application to exempt more than $5.9 million in equipment from state and local sales and use taxes.
GSA approval for EV Vehicles
Successfully managed the approval of the Li-ion Motors, Inc. application to provide approximately $52 million in electric vehicle equipment to the US General Services Administration.
